Chicago Christmas Family Photos

I can’t believe it is almost Christmas–things have been so busy I haven’t had a chance to post Christmas photos I took for a new family.  But I have a few seconds, and how could you not want to share these photos and get in the Christmas Spirit.

This couple was beyond lovely and their puppy–I wanted to take her home as my own and snuggle her for hours!  I had an absolute blast wondering around their Hyde Park neighborhood and local Christmas tree lot.  The puppy LOVED the trees, and it was difficult getting her out of them!  They were a pleasure to shoot and again makes me miss doing photography on a regular basis.

Merry Christmas you three!  I hope it is filled with many memories (and warm ones in Alabama!)!

Holiday Photos Sneak Peek. Chicago IL.

So I only have a few seconds, but I wanted to give a sneak peek of a wonderful family I had the pleasure of photographing yesterday.

How can you not LOVE that little fluffy face?  If I thought our apartment could handle another dog, I would have some how confiscated this little one!

Look for more photos later this week!

Sneak Peek for the Surprise Union Station Proposal-Marcus and Diana

Spoiler alert–she said YES!

I haven’t really had a lot of time to edit the photos of this newly ENGAGED couple, but I quickly imported the photos and edited a photo of the two after the proposal.

I will have more soon, but I didn’t want the couple to have to wait forever to see a photo.  There are many more coming their way, but for now–a simple shot of the happy couple.

Congrats again you two–stay tuned for more.

Dan and Evan-Chicago Engagement Session

So–my first solo shoot in forever.  I was so anxious the night before I didn’t sleep well–I wanted everything to go perfectly.  Not only because I always want to take the best photos I can, but Dan is a friend–so it is even more important.  I have had the pleasure of knowing Dan since our time at Starbucks together back in Tulsa, when he was in the ballet and I was just a lowly grad student.  Since then many things have changed, we have lived many places, and we now both live in Chicago.

Dan has met a wonderful southern boy (enter Evan).  Though I have only spent a little time with them–but I can tell they complement each other.  They are supportive, caring, sweet, and most of all–truly love each other.  For their engagement shoot–I had to take advantage of their adorable apartment in Chicago.  It is full of things they have gathered from their lives, and has been put together in a way that makes their space so wonderfully theirs.  Between the pictures, books, piano, and of course their cat.  I couldn’t pass it up–and I am so glad I didn’t.  After that we went to Lincoln Park and Old Town to catch some photos around town.  Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate with us–and it was beyond overcast and windy.  But we persevered, got some photos inside a few local places, and ended our evening with drinks and croissants at an AMAZING french bakery (La Fournette in Old Town, go there–drink, eat, get an almond croissant, and close your eyes and pretend you are in France).

Anyways–here is Dan and Evans engagement shoot.  I hope that everyone enjoys them–
