For those of you who read the blog, you know that I have been making posts and I am the second photographer on most of Jarod’s weddings. I figured I should introduce myself. I am originally from Ohio (O-H…I-O) and after graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College, I moved to Tulsa, OK to get my Masters in Forensic Science. While there I met Jarod in 2005 and we have been pretty much inseparable since then. After graduating in August of 2007 with my masters, I decided to move to Greenville, NC and get my PhD in Microbiology and Immunology. I am currently working on my PhD and will graduate by December of 2012. Jarod and I were married August 22, 2009 and lived apart for a total of three years before his job would allowed to work remotely. He moved to Greenville in September of 2010 and it has been amazing being to finally start our life together. We love having the photography business together. It is a great way to harness our creative energies and work together. I have always loved photography and Jarod has really taught me the technical aspects of the camera to best show off my aesthetic. I think the both of us working at the wedding provides a unique view from each of us. I love that photography allows you to capture moments a lot like your own memory. When you remember something it is more like a flash of a moment and taking a photo is like preserving each flash. I also love being able to find new places to photograph or ways to really capture the couples personality in the photos. Also, as you can tell from most of my blog posts, I love sharing great ideas to help people save money and make sure their wedding day is everything they could have dreamed of.
