The Fauxto Studio is owned and operated by Jarod and Claire Knoten who are part time professional wedding photographers based in Chicago IL. We have been happily married since August of 2009 and have a super cool pups named Midge and Pixel. Jarod is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma and Claire hails from Uhrichsville, Ohio. We currently live and work in Chicago IL. Jarod is a web programmer for a large online diamond company and Claire recently received her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at the ECU Brody School of Medicine and works in a post doctoral position at Northwestern University. We love to travel and spend time outdoors camping or taking photos of anything that catches our eye. When we are stuck indoors we love to cook, brew our own beer, and watch trivia game shows

Leslie and Joe’s Wedding in Edenton, NC

Jarod and I always say that we are so lucky to have Pixel (our rescue puppy). She has allowed us to meet so many new and amazing friends at the dog park, and Leslie and Joe are no exception. Since our first few encounters with them Joe’s dry sarcastic nature and Leslie’s smiling personality, we have become good friends. When Leslie and Joe asked us to shoot their wedding, we were really excited. The more details I heard about their wedding the more excited I became to be a part of the day. For those of you who don’t know, Leslie is from Edenton, NC. It is a beautiful community and the perfect setting for Joe and Leslie’s wedding. The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Paul’s and the reception was held at the Pembroke Hall. This was the first ceremony that Jarod and I weren’t allowed to take photos, and as sad as we were, it was really nice to be able to sit and watch our friends get married. Once everyone got to the ceremony, the night couldn’t have gone more perfectly. From the beautiful sunset, the friends/families, and the wonderful sounds brought by Johnny White and the Elite that kept the dance floor moving all night long. This was an absolutely stunning wedding that was full of laughter, smiles, and fun.

Also, I didn’t mention this before, but Joe’s daughter Izzy was amazing the whole day. She was full of smiles, very intelligent, and really happy for her dad. She was such an important part of the day to both Joe and Leslie–and you could tell that she felt that she was absolutely included. From her being the maid of honor to joining the band at the end of the night–she was so amazing for such a young lady.

And now for the photos. Thank you to both the Ginski and Burn’s families for making us feel absolutely at home. We had an amazing time and feel lucky to have shot the wedding. And congratulations to Leslie and Joe–we couldn’t be happier for you two.

North Carolina Wedding Photographers

That was the last photo I captured before the ceremony started. It was beautiful–I really wish you could see the look on Joe’s face when he saw Leslie. It was a beautiful ceremony and I am so glad that Jarod and I were able to attend.
